The story of Western State Pizza

The roots of WSP lie in Western State Investments, which was an investment club started by our ownership team as they graduated from college at Western Michigan and Michigan State Universities. These lifelong friendships have endured over decades and now work as a team to bring Detroit-style pizza to the greater Seattle area.

How Western State Pizza came to be

The idea was first discussed aboard M/V Voyager out of Anacortes Yacht Charters, moored to a state dock in the San Juan Islands for the night. It was the team's annual meeting in 2021, an opportunity to get together once a year and discuss the direction of the company. One of the team, Chris, had lived in West Seattle and Ballard for years, and the guys knew there would be a thirst for Jet's Pizza in the area if they could make it happen.

One of our members decided to move across the country and bring the world's best Detroit-style pizza to the people of the greater Seattle area. His leap of faith and the work of the entire team led to Jet's Pizza becoming firmly ensconced in the pizza scene of the Pacific Northwest.

WSP's first location opened in Lynnwood, WA as Jet's Pizza WA-001 in January 2024, the westernmost restaurant in the company. The team continues to work together to bring this amazing culinary offering to the rest of the Seattle metropolitan area. Jet's Pizza Store WA-003 will be opening in the Bothell/Mill Creek area in late 2026!
